‘Twilight’ Fan Killed Outside Comic-Con After Being Hit By Car
Tragedy struck just outside the San Diego Convention Center on Tuesday morning, as a 53-year-old woman reportedly rushing to line up for Thursday’s “Twilight” panel at Comic-Con was hit by a car. She was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
The woman — whose name was being withheld at press time, but who may have been identified by “Twilight” fansites – was crossing against the light, reported San Diego’s 10News.
“Apparently the pedestrian, as she went [along] the crosswalk, stumbled and fell and struck the vehicle as it passed by her,” San Diego Police Department Sergeant Ron Glass told 10News.
