News in the presidential race has been a bit slow this week other than poll results, which often times mean jack shit. The lack of news and the fact that I have been incredibly busy with projects outside of the realm of this website has left me distracted and not writing as much content for The Swash as I’d like. I’m working on expanded editions of my first two books “Liberty Burning” and “Fear and Loathing in the Post-Capitalist Age”. The first is complete, the second is nearly done. On top of that, I am just about finished with my third book, which is about the 2012 elections. The upcoming book will be called “Scalping Jackals” and it should be out in paperback by the end of the year. Hell, maybe this article will make its way into that book. I am also finishing up two novels I wrote a few years ago as well as writing a new novel, which looks to be the first in a series. To be honest, I’m getting burnt out on political and economic writing, as I don’t have much to say that I haven’t already covered – apart from how my philosophy applies to current events. “Scalping Jackals” will probably be my last book on politics, at least for quite some time.

Being a few days removed from the Fourth of July, a belly full of ribs, brats and a few gallons of Old Crow – I am reminded of why it is that I do what I do and I hope that the upcoming elections (not just the presidential one) turn the tide of where this country is headed. Optimism is certainly in short supply and the appeal of anarchism is getting to a point where it is almost hard to deny. I have been critical of the idea for a long time, as I still haven’t heard a convincing enough argument on a few details but hell, it is becoming abundantly clear that “We The People” could do a much better job at running the circus than “They The Politicians”.

Over the weekend, I got into it with a code enforcement stooge. He wasn’t even on my case but he just pissed me off and I let it be known. He came into the restaurant where I was eating and started handing out fines to the owner for a banner and a few small signs he had displayed on the shoulder of the road in front of his establishment. The signage in question was on the owner’s own property. The owner was in fear of the monetary slap on the wrist and the code enforcement piss midget did everything he could to compensate for his small dick, his small brain and his short stature. He felt like a fucking god in his small little shit world. He was a bossy little prick and was enjoying his bullshit job way too much; he was relishing in the fact that this small “mom and pop” business owner had no idea as to how he was going to pay for the infractions this Tony Soprano wannabe trapped in a Oompa-Loompa’s body was throwing at him.

I had to cut in and tell the stooge to “fuck off”. The troll walked over to my table and actually asked, “And who the fuck might you be?” I told him that it was none of his damn business and that he should stop harassing hard-working honest joes and go back to sucking his masters’ cocks from his little desk tucked behind their toilets. He pointed in my face and told me that he’d see me around. I told him to get his finger out of my face before I broke it. He asked me if I was threatening him and I told him that I was just naturally responding to the aggression of a small-minded imbecile that needed to respect people’s personal space. He threatened to call the cops on me and told him that if he made that mistake, I’d most certainly make the  call worth their while. Like the punkass bitch he is, he backed down and left.

The owner walked over and thanked me but added that I didn’t have to go as far as I did. He’s probably right but I’m tired of these statist shitcocks throwing their weight around. I also think that my actions made the owner fearful of further harassment from the tiny dickhead and I can’t fault him for that.

The owner and I sat and talked and he told me that the country was “fucked” and that it didn’t matter who we voted for. He pointed out that both Obama and Romney were shit and that it is unfortunate that not enough people got behind Ron Paul this election. I bought the guy a beer and we drank together passed closing for about an hour: talking about the state of things.

He was unaware of Gary Johnson, so I educated him on the former New Mexico governor. He made it clear that he was going to vote for Johnson and that he was no longer going to throw his votes away on the same bullshit establishment puppets. He also seemed to find some sort of new outlook on the state and their overreaching tyranny against him and other small business owners like him. He vowed to fight the fines and said he wouldn’t stop until that little shit dwarf was out of a job. He ended up thanking me and comped my meal. I insisted on paying and left cash on the table anyway. In the end, I was glad that I was able to help this guy see a bit more clearly.

Luckily the booze in my system was there to make me speak up for the little guy. Normally I would have just sat there and mumbled to myself and made a comment to the owner after the fact but fuck it, I couldn’t just sit idly by. The government has gotten out of control and as much as politicians on the left and the right continue to preach about “mom and pop”, they certainly have created a world where their survival is much more difficult than what it needs to be. There isn’t just competition in business anymore, there is competition against the government in order to survive and unfortunately, “mom and pop” fighting a leviathan usually ends with the leviathan standing tall.

This was just one of thousands of similar incidents that happened all over the United States on a single day. It’s time to stop feeding the beast.

Great Story. Imagine if everyone stood up for Liberty when they see something like this. It’s time to rethink the way we react to our oppression. Instead of sitting there and taking it, we need to stand up and say, “NO MORE!”

The Bully in school grows up to be the Bullies in Government. Stop giving them any kind of respect and they will go away. If this jefkface sees and hears this every time he enters a place of business, he will tire of it and quit.

In my life, I’ve come to the understanding that more often than not, a bully will back down when he doesn’t have his hold over his victim. In the case of government, there are a lot of bullies. In the case of the people there are a hell of a lot more victims and if they all start standing up, the bullies will ultimately fall.

That is why we must grow beyond Government. If you institute a legal organization centered around the monopoly of force, those that wish to have power over another will gravitate toward that organization like Flies on shit.
