Congressional Democrats Introduce Amendment to Outlaw Self Defense(1) The Congressional Progressive Caucus has announced it will introduce legislation designed to strip Americans of the right to defend themselves. Called “Stop Shoot First Laws,” the amendment to the Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill under consideration in the House would deny states federal funding allocated under section 505 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 if they continue to allow citizens to defend themselves. “Shoot first laws have already cost too many lives,” said Progressive Caucus co-chairs Keith Ellison and Raul Grijalva upon introducing their amendment. “In Florida alone, deaths due to self-defense have tripled since the law was enacted. Federal money shouldn’t be spent supporting states with laws that endanger their own people. This is no different than withholding transportation funds from states that don’t enforce seatbelt laws.” “The message here is if you have this kind of law that your federal funding is going to take a hit because they make states less safe,” Adam Sarvana, communications director for Grijalva, toldPolitico. In other words, the Democrats will force states to choose between putting their citizens at the mercy of violent criminals or taking federal largess. Because the House does not have an open amendment process, the amendment will likely not see a vote on the floor. Ellison and Grijalva introduced the amendment in and effort to further politicize the Trayvon Martin case and increase pressure on the Second Amendment. Democrats are using “Shoot First” instead of “Stand Your Ground” in an effort to portray self defense as homicide. “Stand Your Ground” is a legal extension of the Castle doctrine stating that a person has a right to defend himself against an intruder. “Stand Your Ground” laws state that one can use deadly force in any location one is legally allowed to be and removes the requirement that the threat must occur on one’s own property. The Congressional Progressive Caucus is the largest caucus within the Democratic caucus in Congress. It is supported by the Institute for Policy Studies, MoveOn.org, the NAACP, National Council of La Raza, Hip Hop Caucus, and other liberal and so-called “progressive” organizations. Source: Infowars. Triple-Barreled Pistol Makes 3x The Holes!(0)
This is a triple-barreled pistol that fills your target with three times the holes as a regular pistol. Or, if you’re as terrible a shot as I imagine you are, wastes three times the ammo. Tell me before you buy one so I can buy stock in bullet manufacturers.
First of all, 6.35mm rounds aren’t big enough. That’s just not nearly enough stopping power if only one bullet makes contact. No, I would go with at LEAST 7.15mm’s. “Those aren’t even real — you don’t know anything about guns.” Ha, I know the only thing I need to: I’m honest enough with myself to know I can’t be trusted owning one. Bank of America’s War on the Second Amendment(0) Bankster giant Bank of America has joined the effort to take down the Second Amendment and deny Americans the right to own and use firearms. Kelly McMillan, the CEO of McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Group International, and McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, recently wrote on his Facebook page that Bank of America has refused to do business with his companies because they sell firearms. Bank of America admitted its decision was political. McMillan’s response was to immediately stop doing business with Bank of America.
It is nice to see a company taking a stand against the banksters on principle, especially when that principle is one of the cornerstones of the Constitution. Source: Prison Planet. Written by Kurt Nimmo. |

Ted Nugent Fires Back at Secret Service ProbeComments Off Rock legend Ted Nugent is firing back at reports the U.S. Secret Service is targeting him for a harshly critical speech of the Obama administration he delivered at the National Rifle Association over the weekend. A 105 Gun Capacity Under-The-Bed Gun LockerComments Off Quick, there’s a creeper by the window! Shoot EVERYTHING. This is the BedBunker, an under-the-mattress gun safe capable of holding 35 rifles and 70 handguns. That…is enough for a small militia. Unfortunately that’s not a big enough bed for a small militia, so you’re gonna need at least another queen to sleep everybody comfortably. The California King model (with the 105 gun capacity) runs $4,200, and weighs 1,500-lbs empty, so it’s not the kind of box-spring you can just strap to the top of your car when you want to move. Not thinking about overthrowing the government? No problem, the BedBunker is available in sizes down to a 650-lb twin for $2,200 that only holds like 40 guns. Me? I want one that can hold a tank AND fighter jet. Fortunately, I don’t have any kids so I like to just hide my weapons throughout the house. I even found one in a cereal box this morning. “You thought it was a prize didn’t you?” I was all, OMG, General Mills is THE SHIT. Source: Geekologie. |

George Zimmerman to Be Charged in Trayvon Martin ShootingComments Off Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey plans to announce as early as Wednesday afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation. It was not immediately clear what charge Zimmerman will face. Martin, 17 and unarmed, was shot and killed Feb. 26 by Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self-defense. Police in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting took place, did not charge Zimmerman, citing the state’s “stand your ground” law. Corey told reporters Tuesday night that she would hold a news conference about the case within 72 hours. A news release from her office said the event will be held in Sanford or Jacksonville, Fla. Benjamin Crump, who is representing the Martin family, said this week that Corey’s office had asked where Trayvon’s parents would be each day this week. They arrived Wednesday in Washington for a civil rights conference organized by the Rev. Al Sharpton, where they spoke to reporters. Sabryna Fulton and Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s parents, said they would not comment on the charges because they had not been personally notified. They scheduled a press conference for 5 :15 p.m. Earlier reports that Zimmerman’s lawyers said they did not know where he was did not bother Trayvon’s parents, they said. “We do have faith in the justice system. When it is time to arrest him, they will find him,” Fulton said. The announcement of a charge against Zimmerman would come a day after Zimmerman’s attorneys withdrew from the case, citing their inability to contact Zimmerman. Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig on Tuesday expressed concern about Zimmerman’s emotional and physical well-being, saying he has taken actions without consulting them. They also said they do not know where Zimmerman is. “You can stop looking in Florida,” Uhrig told reporters. “Look much further away than that.” Corey said Monday that she would not bring the case before a grand jury, which was expected to convene this week. She said her decision to forgo the grand jury should not be viewed as an indication of whether charges will be filed. Corey has indicated in recent weeks that she might not need a grand jury to bring charges against Zimmerman. The lawyers said they stand by their assertions that Zimmerman acted in self-defense when he killed the 17-year-old, who was unarmed, but they acknowledged that they formed their impressions without meeting Zimmerman. According tot he state attorney’s office, the decision “should not be considered a factor in the final determination of the case.” CONTINUED at CBS Miami. |

Shooting in the Dark: Three things people don’t know about the Trayvon Martin case (but think they do)Comments Off People who are convinced that George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin for no good reason frequentlysay it’s absurd to suggest that an unarmed 17-year-old could have posed a deadly threat to a 28-year-old man who outweighed him by 100 pounds. According to astory in Monday’s New York Times, however, Zimmerman is only 20 pounds heavier than Martin, who was four inches taller. The revised numbers by no means show that Zimmerman, a Sanford, Florida, neighborhood watch volunteer, is telling the truth when he says he shot Martin in self-defense on the night of February 26. But given that such basic facts are still a matter of dispute, we should be especially cautious about rushing to judgment on bigger questions like these: Who started the fight? It seems clear that Martin would still be alive if Zimmerman had not taken it upon himself to follow a teenager he deemed “real suspicious” in light of recent burglaries attributed to young black men. But Zimmerman claims he was heading back to his SUV when Martin approached him and, after a brief exchange, punched him in the face hard enough to knock him down. Although Martin was understandably nervous (and possibly angry) about being followed, that by itself would not justify the assault Zimmerman describes. But if Zimmerman did more than tail Martin—if he shoved him or displayed his gun, say—he might qualify as the initial aggressor. Did Zimmerman shoot Martin “in cold blood”? CONTINUED at Reason. Asian States Are World’s Largest Arms BuyersComments Off China, India and South Korea – three of the most vibrant economies in Asia – are also beefing up their military arsenals with new weapons systems from the United States, Russia, Germany, France and the UK. According to the latest figures released Monday by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the world’s five largest arms importers in 2007-2011 were all Asian states beating out the traditional frontrunners – the rich, oil-blessed Middle Eastern countries. India was the world’s single largest recipient of arms, accounting for 10 per cent of global arms imports, followed by South Korea (six per cent of arms transfers), Pakistan (five per cent), China (five per cent) and Singapore (four per cent). The five biggest arms suppliers in 2007-2011 were the United States, Russia, Germany, France and the UK. With the exception of Germany, the four other suppliers are veto-wielding permanent members of the UN Security Council. The top five suppliers accounted for 75 per cent of all international arms transfers. New deals Still, the most significant purchase in 2011, and the largest arms deal for at least two decades, was Saudi Arabia’s order for 84 new and 70 rebuilt F-15SG fighter planes from the United States.
