America the Bigoted?: Quarter of voters less inclined to back Obama over gay marriage issue(0) President Obama’s same-sex marriage endorsement makes a full quarter of Florida voters less likely to cast their ballots for him, according to a poll released Monday. Quinnipac’s latest poll of the Sunshine State finds that 25 percent of voters say Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage makes them less likely to vote for him. On the other hand, 11 percent say that it makes them more likely to vote for him. (ALSO ON POLITICO: ‘Pro-choice’ voters at lowest level ever, poll shows) Among independents, 23 percent say that they’re less likely to vote for Obama over same sex marriage. Older voters (55 and older), born-again evangelical Christians, lower income voters and military veterans are all more likely than other demographic groups to say that Obama’s backing of same-sex marriage will sway them towards Romney. On the whole, Romney beats President Obama by six points in Florida, leading 47 to 41 percent over the incumbent president. On the gay marriage issue, national polls have largely showed the issue to be a wash for the president, with roughly equal numbers of voter saying it made them more or less likely to support Obama. That’s in line with national polls that show majority support for gay marriage — but state by state polling that shows high levels of resistance in several key battlegrounds. Source: Politico. |

North Carolina Officially Hates Gays(0) Voters in North Carolina on Tuesday approved Amendment One, a fiercely debated and highly restrictive amendment to the state constitution that defines marriage as the legal union of a man and a woman. The amendment not only outlaws same-sex marriage — already illegal in the state — but bans civil unions and domestic partnerships for gay or straight couples. Family law experts say it will threaten domestic partnership health benefits for local government workers and strip unmarried couples, both gay and straight, of their rights to make financial or emergency medical decisions for an incapacitated partner. With all counties reporting, the amendment was approved, 61% to 39%. Passage of the measure, called the Defense of Marriage Act by Republican sponsors, makes North Carolina the final state in the South to pass an amendment banning gay marriage, and the 29th state overall, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Ten states have statutes defining marriage as between a man and a woman. Proponents said the amendment was needed to keep “activist judges or politicians” from overturning the state’s 1996 law. The measure is more restrictive than all but three of the marriage amendments passed in other states, according to a study published by 11 family law professors at seven North Carolina universities. The measure could even deprive unmarried women of protections against domestic abuse, while restricting child custody and visitation rights for unmarried gay or straight couples, they said. Only Idaho, Michigan and South Carolina have so strictly defined marriage, and courts in those three states are still struggling to interpret amendments passed in recent years. The North Carolina amendment is likely to face similar court battles. CONTINUED at LA Times. |

Rocket from Egypt Hits IsraelComments Off A Grad rocket has landed in the southern Israeli city of Eilat, but has caused no damage or injuries, Israeli security officials said. District police chief Ron Gertner told Israeli radio the rocket had been fired from Egypt’s Sinai peninsula. He said it struck a construction site close to a residential area shortly after midnight (21:00 GMT). The blast took place as thousands congregated in the resort town for the Jewish holiday of Passover. Rocket attacks from Egyptian soil are uncommon. Attacks on Eilat and the nearby Jordanian town of Aqaba in 2010 killed one person and injured another four. Sinai unrest. Eilat Mayor Meir Yitzhak-Halevy told the Jerusalem Post that the city would function as normal despite the attack. A wave of unrest has hit the restive Sinai peninsula recently. Israel says militants have become active in the region since former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was overthrown in February 2011. In August 2011, an armed group crossed the border into Israel from the Sinai peninsula and killed eight Israelis. Israel blamed Palestinian militants but five Egyptian policemen were killed as Israeli forces pursued the gunmen, sparking a diplomatic row between the two countries. Source: BBC News. |

The Brat Prince of the GOP(11)
Finding myself flying down U.S. 41 in Naples, Florida yesterday had my mind racing. As VNV Nation’s song “Control” was blasting throughout my stock speakers and I was weaving in and out of a sea of giant Canadian turtles out for a Sunday drive, I found myself thinking about a lot of the news reports on Rick Santorum that have come out over the last few days. This whole Etch-A-sketch farce is laughable, as Mitt Romney’s aide’s now infamous gaffe, has been criticized by everyone from the lowest bottom-feeding liberal pundits all the way up to conservative presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum – who both brought Etch-A-Sketch toys to their most recent rallies. Personally, I don’t care about the mistake made by Eric Fehrnstrom, who has been by Romney’s side for decades now. People make mistakes and focusing too deeply on this is pointless. It was a stupid mishap on his part but when guys like Santorum and Gingrich are so desperate to overtake Romney, they of course have to make a big ass deal about it. As if these two haven’t put their big elephant sized feet in their mouths again and again. None of us are immune to making mistakes, however some of us continue to make blunder after blunder and with that said, Rick Santorum is the blunder master! Hell, Rick Santorum, in trying to lambast Mitt for his campaign’s simple slip up, has actually committed worse gaffes than the Romney staff. However, the blind religious zealots, the Fox News zombies and the Tea Party hypocrites are seemingly blind to this man’s stupidity and his bratty whiney infantile nature. Rick Santorum, when under fire, is like the kid who lied to his parents and throws a fit when he’s caught – refusing to admit that he is a punk ass hellion. Emotionally, the man is a child and that alone makes him unqualified to hold any sort of public office, let alone the Oval Office. In attacking the comments by Mr. Fehrnstrom, Rick Santorum came out and alluded to Barack Obama being better than Mitt Romney would be as president! Yes, this Republican idiot bashed the frontrunner of his own party in an effort to build himself up while tearing down his party and helping Barack Obama in the process. Rick Santorum truthfully doesn’t care about the GOP, he just cares about Rick Santorum and like the brat bastard he is, publicly throws tantrums to get his way. Unfortunately, unlike the typical brat bastard who throws a fit in Wal-Mart because mommy won’t buy him the new Green Ranger action figure, no one is there to put this ungrateful delinquent over their knee for an old school ass whoopin’. Shit, I’d make that pretentious little rascal climb the damn tree and pick out his own switch like my uncle used to do to me. For reference sake, here’s is Santorum’s exact quote:
It may not seem that bad at first glance but the underlying tone to the comment is pretty straightforward. Now while some in the liberal side of the media have been having a field day with this and rightfully so, the conservative side of the coin has basically ignored it. The Fox News jokesters continue to perpetuate this 2012 circus and probably can’t even see how their contribution to this presidential race is pulling apart the GOP and the country by the seams. So ignoring Fox News’ carelessness and incredibly biased “fair and balanced” reporting – not saying that other networks are fully off the hook here, at least some of the other mainstream media outlets have questioned Santorum’s remarks. And really, Santorum endorsed Romney in 2008! All this knowledge about Romneycare and Mitt’s questionable record were well known back then, so why the change and the anger and the rage? It’s because Rick is losing and he is panicking like the prettiest girl in school coming to the realization that she might not be prom queen. So how has Ricky Baby responded to the criticism? Well, he has thrown even more tantrums! Do the conservative and religious sects of the voting public seem to notice? Nope, they still support the douchebag, which is confirmed by the fact that amongst all of his bitching, whining and temper tantrum madness he magically won the primary in Louisiana! How does this keep happening? Do people really want a weak infantile bastard leading them through some of the toughest times this country has ever faced? Was Mike Judge right and the events of ‘Idiocracy’ were some sort of prophetic vision of what’s to come? A person of sound mind would certainly have to think so, as the dumbing down of American society has never been more apparent. This country falling behind this man’s leadership would be like having Eric Cartman for president! If that thought doesn’t scare the shit out of you, congratulations – you are a fucking idiot. Over the last few days, since making his stupid comment, Santorum has tried to backtrack and reiterate it into something else. In doing so, it just makes him look like more of a bratty bitch and less like a man who can own up to his own mistakes and move forward. In a fantastic turn of events, for those of us who would love to never see this moron’s mug again, he went off on a New York Times reporter just yesterday. When asked about his Romney comments which were correctly quoted, Santorum put on his angry baby face and threw a typical spineless and emotionally weak fit where he cursed publicly at a New York Times reporter. Santorum told the reporter who questioned him:
Here’s a clip of it: I guess even compassionate Christian mouthpieces can have anger issues. Then again, his compassion is pretty much anti-gay and anti-everything that isn’t in line with theocratic fascism. I guess Kevin McCallister is still pissed that his parents left him “home alone”.. twice. The point is, this guy is really the worst Republican candidate in the country. The man shouldn’t even be in this race and never has anyone, in my lifetime, been this ill-equipped to handle the pressure that is going to come with the job of POTUS. Santorum is already cracking and has been a punk ass bitch since he emerged from his mother’s womb and graced the world with his everlasting thin-skinned toddler rage. Responding to Santorum’s recent conniption fits, Romney spokesperson Ryan Williams hit the nail on the head:
Williams is right and as this race winds down, it is apparent that Romney is running away with this thing and Santorum is being left in the dust. Thank the stars for that but as history has shown again and again, after four more years of Obama, it will be Santorum taking the GOP nomination in 2016. If that sounds crazy, just remember that the guy in second place always becomes the Republican Party’s candidate four years later. I hope that this is a trend that changes and truthfully, for Republicans to survive – it has to! Otherwise, the likelihood of a President Santorum could very well be a reality four years from now. Don’t say that this whiskey-sipping fiend behind his MacBook Pro screen didn’t give you ample warning. Bonus – Santorum at his most intellectual:

Freedom-Hating Fascist Santorum to Crackdown on Internet PornComments Off Internet pornography could conceivably become a thing of the past if Rick Santorum is elected president. The unapologetic social conservative, currently in second place behind Mitt Romney for the GOP nomination, has promised to crack down on the distribution of pornography if elected. Santorum says in a statement posted to his website, “The Obama Administration has turned a blind eye to those who wish to preserve our culture from the scourge of pornography and has refused to enforce obscenity laws.” If elected, he promises to “vigorously” enforce laws that “prohibit distribution of hardcore (obscene) pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite TV, on hotel/motel TV, in retail shops and through the mail or by common carrier.” Although the idea of Santorum vanquishing Internet pornography may seem far-fetched, a serious effort to combat online smut might actually be successful, UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh told The Daily Caller. “If the government wanted to aggressively move against Internet pornography, it could do so,” explained Volokh. “Here’s the deal: In most parts of the country, a lot of pornography on the Internet would plausibly be seen as obscene.” (RELATED: Full coverage of the Santorum campaign) There are a few approaches that Santorum could pursue in an attempt to eradicate Internet pornography. “It wouldn’t be that difficult to close down a lot of the relatively visible websites that are used for the distribution of pornography, if they’re in the United States,” said Volokh. Rick Santorum’s Sick and Twisted Reality(2)
Unlike Rick Santorum, I love gay people. Hell, I have a lot of gay friends. In fact, I get pretty perturbed when someone attacks them just for being themselves. You see, despite all the dramatic and bigoted bullshit, most gay people are very forgiving with the hateful rhetoric, as they can see the forest for the trees and recognize a hate-mongering piece of shit for what it is. They can take the heat and have for decades, if not centuries and I respect that. A punk ass bitch like Santorum, well, he can’t handle any sort of heat because he is a soggy-bottomed thin-skinned piss midget that bitches, whines and cries when things don’t go his way. Well this is one of those times when that shit pigeon is going to have to sniffle like the sensitive little Tina that he is because I’m not going to be all that kind to him or to the fucking morons who casted votes in his favor. I mean seriously people, if you voted for Rick Santorum, I don’t care who you are, you are a goddamned scumbag and lower than a piece of dried up shit smeared across the belly of a cockroach crawling through a grease trap! There is a special place in Hell for all of you but realistically, Hell probably doesn’t exist so you’re going to get a free pass most likely. Getting back to Ricky Baby, I have to mention that the nasty Bible-fucking bastard followed up three big wins on Super Tuesday with some big wins in the Deep South. Truthfully, the people of that region just proved that they are as dumb as the rest of the country thinks that they are. We would all probably benefit from a great flood in that region. I mean, spare the children, the dogs and the house cats but please wipe the rest of these people off of the face of the Earth, especially if they have a Santorum sign in front of their podunk rusty trailer. The planet would be so much better if the rest of the world didn’t have to live their lives affected by the decisions of these moronic rednecks and evangelical fear turtles. Rick Santorum’s success is proof that Americans are a mad breed of people. No, not mad as in angry but mad as in insane and ravenous! Like starving hyenas eating their own faces off because the lions have continually beaten them to the kill. To be fair, not all Americans are insane but a very big portion of them are, simply because of the fact that this guy is riding high in second place in this ridiculous Republican primary. Now, I’ve written about this closeted cock-smuggler before but I’ve refrained from revealing the real evil stuff. I mean, this pompous pontificating pansy has done some really weird and dark shit and fuck it, I refuse to pull punches at this point because the people deserve to see the layers peeled back on this guy. Sure, the media has mentioned these things before but not at a mainstream level, except where it was to bash one of their own for putting one of these stories out there. The reason why they don’t bring this up is pretty obvious. First, the media lies and only reports on what they feel will help shape their agenda. With that being said, CNN and MSNBC don’t want this stuff out there because they would rather have a weakling cockpuppet like Santorum go against their messiah – Barack Obama in November. Fox News doesn’t want this stuff out there because they believe that Rick Santorum is actually a viable candidate and they have to protect him going into November, that is if you even remotely entertain the idea that this douche can win – unfortunately, this is still possible and nothing would surprise me at this point. Truth is, the man is sick and twisted and so is the mainstream media who have been incredibly irresponsible in not covering these horrific tales. The first of these insane true stories may make your skin crawl, as it had a very disturbing effect on mine. Now Fox News’ own Alan Colmes reported on this and received a ton of heat from it by his colleagues and then, as quickly as this news surfaced, it was buried and shelved away. What I am referring to is an incident where Rick Santorum’s child died shortly after birth and he and his wife felt it was necessary to bring their corpse of a newborn home to show their living children. On one hand, this sounds insane, on the other hand, many people may be pissed at the mere mention of this, as they probably believe that people should be able to grieve and raise their kids in their own way. I get that argument, I do, but considering that Rick Santorum sees it necessary for the government to be in our bedrooms and in our lives, why should any of us respect his family’s privacy? Sure, this may seem like I am taking the low road but the fact of the matter is that this did indeed happen and it should be known, as this guy is running for the highest office in the land and as bewildering as it is to me, he could magically win the election – and I only say this because somehow he has gotten this far. Now I understand that the loss of a child is horrific and I’m not trying to make fun of the Santorum family or downplay the situation but these actions are strange and a little unsettling, if you can’t see why, you may need a mental examination. However, it gets even weirder. Karen Santorum came out and talked about this incident and while I feel horrible about their loss, the next reveal really put the cherry on top of this insane sundae. She admitted that after showing the deceased infant to their living children, that she and her husband slept with it! I’m sorry, while the grieving process is hard and the loss of a child is by far one of the hardest things anyone could ever go through, this is just morbid and disturbing on so many levels. The most disturbing thing however, is how this family has often times told the story of their deceased child and their other child who has severe health issues in an effort to drum up sympathy and compassion from the voting public. They certainly don’t parade around the fact that they brought their dead child home, showed it to their children and slept with it but they do pull on the sympathy strings by continually mentioning their dead son and their daughter who nearly died and has continually had life-threatening medical problems. Rick Santorum’s strange kid stories don’t stop there. He served on the board of directors of Universal Health Services, Inc., which is a hospital chain that was plagued with dozens of allegations of abuse during Santorum’s time on the board. These allegations include rape, neglect, patient suicides over bad care as well as murder. While all of those ghastly things are revolting and unacceptable, nothing may be more disturbing than the fact that one of these hospitals performed an exorcism on a boy suffering from autism! Hell, here is what the Huffington Post had to say about it:
Santorum was one of the overseers of UHS when this happened. In fact, he’d still be there sitting high if he didn’t leave to focus on his campaign. Maybe this is an extreme example but with NDAA passed and the indefinite detention of American citizens now being a reality, who is to say that this self-righteous Jesus freak won’t round up those causing dissent in an attempt to exorcise them of their anti-Santorum “demons”. This article alone might make me a prime candidate for Mr. Santorum’s special brand of theocratic cleansing. The man is mad! With UHS’s horrific track record, I’m sure that this isn’t just an isolated incident. Considering that children have been barred from their hospitals by those more competent than UHS’s medical staff, one has to wonder if every atrocity has made it to the light of day. I’m sure if one were to dig deeper, they would find much more. Besides, you can’t tell me that Rick Santorum wasn’t aware of all of this? Why hasn’t he come forward and condemned it? Is it because he sees nothing wrong with the actions of this vile institution that he helped manage at the highest level? Is he hoping that this story won’t see the light of day? Well, the conservative media won’t run it and maybe the liberal media is just holding off on pushing this story until the time comes for them to use it more effectively – like if Ricky Baby were to actually win the nomination. In every sense of the word, the man is sick and if you are in denial about that, you are probably just as big of a wicked bastard. I don’t feel bad about sharing this, as he has no qualms about making our privacy transparent and outlawing certain activities that many of us do in our own homes behind closed doors. When he points the finger at everyone that doesn’t share his arcane beliefs and says that he intends to force us into his box, well it’s only fair for those of us he’s speaking to to point back at him and let him know that he’s a sick fuck in his own way and he is not holier than thou. Besides, he is running for office and under a microscope – that was his choice by choosing to ride this train. Think what you will about any of this. Sure, I interjected my opinion throughout this piece but the fact that many will find it offensive, either because of Santorum’s actions or because of my reveal on things in his personal life, has proven that it is relevant and that it is necessary to see the light of day, even though you can argue against that point until you are blue in the face. The fact is, the American public has a right to know all of this and to think otherwise is ignorant and careless. The point is, this man must not be allowed to get the Republican nomination and certainly not the chair in the Oval Office. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are both bastards in their own right but Rick Santorum is a Bible-carrying beast that wants to breed a culture of big government religio-fascism the likes of which we’ve never seen before in this country. The blood is on all of our hands if he succeeds. |

Anonymous Hacks the VaticanComments Off Hackers from the Italian branch of the group, Anonymous, took down the Vatican website in protest over Roman Catholic liturgies and doctrines, such as the church’s opposition to contraception and abortion. “Anonymous has decided to put your site under siege in response to your doctrine, liturgy and the absurd and anachronistic rules that your profit-making organization spreads around the world,” the Anonymous website explained, per a Reuters translation. The hackers cited common complaints about the Catholics in recent years, such as the child-molesting scandal, but they also seem motivated by the recent fight over the contraception mandate and religious liberty. “You refuse to declare objects and practices [the] result of progress, such as condoms or abortion,” the Anonymous hackers wrote to the Vatican. Vatican officials are working to get the site back online. Source: The Washington Examiner. |

Quran-Burning Soliders to Face Trial in Afghanistan?Comments Off In a development that could chill the dedication of every soldier in the field, the U.S. government has refused to deny reports by the government of Afghanistan that NATO has agreed to have the soldiers who burned copies of the Quran face trial. Last week, Afghan president Hamid Karzai demanded NATO turn over the U.S. troops to be tried in Afghanistan. President Obama subsequently sent a letter to Karzai reassuring him that the troops involved would be punished for their actions. Part of the three-page letter to Karzai said, “I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies. We will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible.” It is unclear exactly what Obama meant by that statement as the White House has not released the full text of the letter. However, the Afghan government may have provided insight into its contents. Over the weekend, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan government media and information center website posted a joint statement by the delegations assigned to probe the Quran burning incident. The statement says that two delegations were created to “investigate the circumstances and causes that have led to the inhumane incident.” CONTINUED at WND. |

Arizona and Michigan: Two Steps Closer to Super TuesdayComments Off
We are on the verge of two more states casting their votes in the 2012 Republican primary to decide the nominee that will represent the GOP in an effort to wrestle the Oval Office away from Barack Obama. With Super Tuesday just around the corner, this long drawn out race has finally reached critical mass. In less than a week, this whole race could be over – based off of the results of those ten states. However, Arizona and Michigan will have their say first and based off of the outcome of last week’s Arizona debate, some things may have changed going into this leg of the marathon. To start, Rick Santorum did so awful in the Arizona debate that a lot of his steam should be about nil. Then again, this sad nerd keeps finding a way to stay in this damn thing. I think he’s an opportunist that is simply capitalizing off of the misfortune of other candidates but I don’t think that he has mastered the art of opportunism and will ultimately crash and burn in a very nasty way. It is bound to happen but it is just taking a very long time. When the moment does come though, it will be glorious and the wait will be worth it. He has been a big government Bible-thumping thorn in the side of liberty for far too long and it is time to send the sweater-vested jackass back home to preach to all the other lost souls that somehow think that it is their sole purpose in life to save us all from an eternal damnation that they perceive as much worse than their self-inflicted mortal damnation on this large blue rock. Some people are just afraid to live life and find it necessary to make us all suffer with them. Rick Santorum is most assuredly one of these miserable people. Not to keep focusing on this theocratic nutjob but it is worth mentioning that Santorum is now under Secret Service protection. Not only is that a waste of taxpayers’ money but it just feeds into this dork dick’s ego – making him believe that he is somehow greater than the sum of his hypocritical parts. I guess this is the peak in his fifteen minutes of fame and the fact that he feels that he must be protected from glitterbombings is absolutely hysterical. While this madman drums up fear about every nation that isn’t fueled by the blood of King James, as he wants to bomb the shit out of every non-American, he finds himself hiding behind a troupe of ‘Matrix’ villains just to save himself from gay America’s weapons of mass fabulousness. He’s so quick to drop napalm on faceless women and children thousands of miles away yet so scared of getting a little glitter in his eye. Santorum is about as manly as Boy George riding a unicorn while eating a cupcake nodding his head to Lady Gaga blaring in his pink earbuds. Newt Gingrich is suffering and the only saving grace for him, at this point, would be for Santorum’s campaign to fully implode. With Ricky Baby robocalling Democrats in Detroit, things are just looking worse and worse for the guy and much better for Gingrich. Now remember, Newt has been down and out before. Hell, he started in this race by losing key members of his campaign staff while facing enormous debt. He’s rallied back, been to the top and teetered around throughout this whole thing. One could simply look at Newt and say that this thing is over but they’ve said it several times and he keeps on finding a way to rise up. Unlike Santorum, Newt’s not just in the right place at the right time, he’s a professional at this game and may just have one more solid hand to play before the lights go out. Mitt Romney should perform very well in both Michigan and Arizona. Michigan is his home state and in the Arizona debate last week, people loved the guy. Hell, they were cheering him before he could even get out half of his answers. If Romney doesn’t perform strong in either state, then there is something seriously wrong with the guy and it only gives more fuel to the three men on his heels. Realistically, all things considered, both of these states should be a cakewalk for Ol’ Mittens and if that’s the case, he is going to be way up on the delegate count. Sure, he and Santorum have won just about the same amount of states but keep in mind that Missouri, which Santorum won, was just a beauty pageant as they have yet to hand out delegates and plan to hold a separate caucus for delegates next month. Missouri is ass backwards and makes no sense, which is why a bumbling idiot bastard like Santorum controlled that demented state. Looking at Dr. Ron Paul, who was potentially screwed in Maine and other states, one has to wonder if these two states will come and go without a victory. Paul is the only candidate left that hasn’t won a single state. While this is disheartening for a true supporter of liberty, he has done incredibly well in finishing second place and amassing delegates throughout the race. Paul’s chances in both these states are good and it would be nice to see him walk away with a win but I just don’t see it happening in either Michigan or Arizona. At Michigan State he had a record turnout of over 4,000 supporters at an event while Santorum played to a small room and Romney tried to charm an empty football stadium. Unfortunately, this is always the case and yet it never translates to a significant amount of votes that should propel Ron Paul to the top of the heap. If support and passion were true indicators to success in elections, Ron Paul would be decimating the uninspiring competition. Sadly, the maniacal monsters will find a way to scheme their way through this round and leave the only honest man in the Republican primary out in the cold. Ron Paul outperformed everyone at the last debate and had the crowd cheering. Along with Romney, he took it to Santorum and made him look like the thin-skinned meatheaded bitch that he is. In fact, Santorum’s people claim that Paul and Romney are in cahoots against him. This is a ridiculous claim of course and it doesn’t do anything to stop the momentum Paul seemingly gained from the debate. In fact, it makes Santorum look even more ridiculous and propels Paul to the top with Romney. I feel that Arizona will be Romney’s to win but theoretically Paul should topple both Santorum and Gingrich. Michigan however, is a toss up. In just a short amount of time, we will all know how this round has played out. |
