The amount of publicity garnered by the secretive Bilderberg conference this year in St. Moritz, Switzerland, far surpassed the coverage afforded to past gatherings of the elite cabal, with major media outlets and international news wires finally reporting on the yearly event after refusing to do so for over five decades. Protests, the alternative media, and anti-Bilderberg politicians played an important role in spreading the news.

Bilderberg, named after the Dutch hotel where members first met in 1954, brings together some of the most influential figures on Earth. More than 120 top-level officials in government, banking, media, finance, business, think-tanks, armed forces, and even European royalty attend the confab every year.

Among the confirmed 2011 European and Canadian attendees were the British Chancellor of the Exchequer (“in his official capacity,” according to the Treasury), the President of the European Central Bank, the head of Canada’s central bank, the queens of the Netherlands and Spain, the Crown Prince of Norway, a representative of the unimaginably vast Rothschild banking empire, finance ministers, heads of state, and many more.

A reporter on the scene for the U.K. Guardian said there were also individuals in attendance who were not on the official list — a regular occurrence discovered almost every year. Among them were German Chancellor Angela Merkel, NATO Secretary-General Anders Rasmussen, and Socialist Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero of Spain. Microsoft founder and multi-billionaire Bill Gates was reportedlyspotted as well.

Together with his good-old friend Agustin Edwards Eastman, Mr. Rockefeller takes a quick vacation almost every year in the south of Chile. Both are well known for working with the CIA during the 1973 coup against Salvador Allende and manipulating public opinion through a newspaper called “El Mercurio”. Edwards is also known for being a descendant of (Chilean elitist) Agustín Edwards McClure, who served as President of the League of Nations from 1922-23 and also ran El Mercurio.

I think about tyranny, the police state and all the other bullshit people seem to adore more than freedom. The reality of the situation is that, although Bush and 9/11 were major factors in Homeland Security becoming a reality, this idea was not born from the Bush Administration. In fact, the Bush Administration opposed the idea of Homeland Security, until the events of September 11th, 2001 forced them to reanalyze their stance. The truth is, the idea for Homeland Security came from the Clinton Administration and Senator Joe Lieberman in 1998. Being born out of the Clinton era is what caused 2 Bush 2 Furious to blow off the whole damn idea. I wish Dubya would’ve stuck to that stance but then again he was a pro big government liberal-conservative and the epitome of the left-right paradigm.

This all “officially” started in 1998 with a report created by the United States Commission on National Security/21st Century simply called “Road Map for National Security: Imperative for Change”. Change you say? The report called for the implementation of a “homeland security force”. After 9/11 and several times thereafter, the Bush Administration added and modified the Commission to fit what they deemed necessary for “national security” purposes. The Commission was significantly influenced by the Council on Foreign Relations: a semi-secret private organization of which Bush II: Bush Harder’s father was a prominent member. With strict membership standards, the Council on Foreign Relations, or CFR,  was created in 1921 and was known at that time as the Rockefeller Council on Foreign Relations. Stick that in your conspiracy pipe and smoke it. My favorite flavor of pipe tobacco is the Bilderberg Burly Balkan blend.

According to the CFR themselves about themselves:

“If the Council as a body has stood for anything these 75 years, it has been for American internationalism based on American interests. If the Council has had influence during this period, it has derived from individual members taking the varied and often conflicting fare of Council meetings and publications to a wider American audience. From Foreign Affairs articles by W.E.B. DuBois and George F. Kennan to books by Henry A. Kissinger and Stanley Hoffmann, the Council’s role has been to find the best minds and leaders, bring them together with other Council members, and provide forum and stage.”

Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, William Colby, George Bush Sr., William Webster, James Woolsey, John Deutsch, and William Casey have all been prominent members of the Council on Foreign Relations and all were also Directors of the CIA. Some of these names should raise a few eyebrows and actually, the CFR itself has often times been the focus of scrutiny and conspiracy theorists’ wet dreams. Now I don’t want to jump onto that all-to-easy conspiracy bandwagon but when delving deeper into the truth, disproving the basis of their claims becomes nearly impossible. In fact, there is more to support a conspiracy than to prove that it is just crazy talk.

Hell, Henry Kissinger is a prominent member of the Bilderberg Group, as are the Rockefellers (who founded the CFR). Kissinger, publicly and completely out in the open, has been calling for a “new world order” for years. Kissinger’s foreign policy focused on protecting and advancing U.S. interests abroad. His stance seems noble and logical, however he pushed those interests forward even if it meant supporting repressive governments which rejected American political and civil values. Throughout his political career, he has often times been accused of committing war crimes, which have been supported by compelling evidence. Kissinger, a Jew who escaped Nazi Germany, should probably not want to associate with an organization that has ties to the Nazis but as you will see, the CFR has such ties.

Allen Dulles, former CIA director and big wig for the Council on Foreign Relations was a friend to the Nazi regime during and after World War II. In fact, he hired a large number of Nazis into the CIA before he was that organization’s director. The fact that he was made the director of the CIA after helping the enemy, the worst enemy the world has ever faced, is pretty fucking sickening. That’s not even the tip of the iceberg though. Dulles’s involvement with the Nazis is a puzzle, to say the least. His web of evil bullshit is a tough one to untangle and really merits its own blog or series of blogs. To keep it concise, I’ll simply state that his most atrocious act would have to be that he helped prominent Nazi leaders escape Germany and sent them to Argentina, where he hired them into the CIA to be informants against the socialist and nationalist groups in South America. This fucksack should have been tried for treason and not have been handed the CIA on a silver blood-splattered platter.

Now back to the Bush Family. Grandfather Prescott also had ties to the Nazis, father Geroge, Sr. was incredibly influential in the CFR and also CIA director for a period of time, son George, Jr. made Homeland Security a reality and his cabinet was full of CFR members. Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, George Shultz, Robert Blackwill, Stephen Hadley, Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, Dov Zakheim, Lewis Libby, Robert Zoellick and many others held prominent positions in the CFR and in Bush’s cabinet as well as helping orchestrate what would become known as the Homeland Security Act on November 25th, 2002.

When the Homeland Security Act was first brought forth to be considered, it was a 32 page document. Once Bush II: The Secret of the Ooze and his cronies got a hold of the thing, it swelled to over 500 pages. This massive document (albeit not as big as Obamacare) called for the creation of the largest federal agency in history. Needing 170,000 employees, the agency’s budget was proposed to be roughly $38 billion just in 2003 alone. Now I am not sure what the final budget was but knowing government, I am sure it went well over the proposal and in the years since, I am sure that it has multiplied exponentially like mogwais at a night time beach party.

Now, I shouldn’t have to give the millions of reasons why the Homeland Security Act is tyrannical and an enemy of liberty. Any American with his wits about him should be able to put two and two together and frankly, any conspiracy theorist whether a true freedom fighter or a nutjob should be able to see the seeds planted for the rise of a real police state. Retrospectively, it is important to see where this whole thing came from and the roots of its tyranny, deceit and control, which have given us this faux safety net in exchange for our freedom.

HAVANA – Fidel Castro is showcasing a theory long popular both among the far left and far right: that the shadowy Bilderberg Group has become a kind of global government, controlling not only international politics and economics, but even culture.

The 84-year-old former Cuban president published an article Wednesday that used three of the only eight pages in the Communist Party newspaper Granma to quote — largely verbatim — from a 2006 book by Lithuanian-born writer Daniel Estulin.

Estulin’s work, “The Secrets of the Bilderberg Club,” argues that the international group largely runs the world. It has held a secretive annual forum of prominent politicians, thinkers and businessmen since it was founded in 1954 at the Bilderberg Hotel in Holland.

Castro offered no comment on the excerpts other than to describeEstulin as honest and well-informed and to call his book a “fantastic story.”

Estulin’s book, as quoted by Castro, described “sinister cliques and the Bilderberg lobbyists” manipulating the public “to install a world government that knows no borders and is not accountable to anyone but its own self.”

The Bilderberg group’s website says its members have “nearly three days of informal and off-the-record discussion about topics of current concern” once a year, but the group does nothing else.

It said the meetings were meant to encourage people to work together on major policy issues.

The prominence of the group is what alarms critics. It often includes members of the Rockefeller family, Henry Kissinger, senior U.S. and European officials and major international business and media executives.

The excerpt published by Castro suggested that the esoteric Frankfurt School of socialist academics worked with members of the Rockefeller family in the 1950s to pave the way for rock music to “control the masses” by diverting attention from civil rights and social injustice.

“The man charged with ensuring that the Americans liked the Beatles was Walter Lippmann himself,” the excerpt asserted, referring to a political philosopher and by-then-staid newspaper columnist who died in 1974.

“In the United States and Europe, great open-air rock concerts were used to halt the growing discontent of the population,” the excerpt said.

Castro — who had an inside seat to the Cold War — has long expressed suspicions of back-room plots. He has raised questions about whether the Sept. 11 attacks were orchestrated by the U.S. government to stoke military budgets and, more recently suggested that Washington was behind the March sinking of a South Korean ship blamed on North Korea.

Estulin’s own website suggests that the 9/11 attacks were likely caused by small nuclear devices, and that the CIA and drug traffickers were behind the 1988 downing of a jetliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, that was blamed on Libya.

The Bilderberg conspiracy theory has been popular on both extremes of the ideological spectrum, even if they disagree on just what the group wants to do. Leftists accuse the group of promoting capitalist domination, while some right-wing websites argue that the Bilderberg club has imposed Barack Obama on the United States to advance socialism.

Some of Estulin’s work builds on reports by Big Jim Tucker, a researcher on the Bilderberg Group who publishes on right-wing websites.

“It’s great Hollywood material … 15 people sitting in a room sitting in a room determining the fate of mankind,” said Herbert London, president of the Hudson Institute, a nonpartisan policy think tank in New York.

“As someone who doesn’t come out of the Oliver Stone school of conspiracy, I have a hard time believing it,” London added.

A call to a Virginia number for the American Friends of Bilderberg rang unanswered Wednesday and the group’s website lists no contact numbers.

Castro, who underwent emergency intestinal surgery in July 2006 and stepped down as president in February 2008, has suddenly begun popping up everywhere recently, addressing Cuba’s parliament on the threat of anuclear war, meeting with island ambassadors at the Foreign Ministry, writing a book and even attending the dolphin show at the Havana aquarium.
