Chris Matthews Bombs on Jeopardy After Mocking Palin’s Intelligence(0)

On at least four occasions, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews mocked Sarah Palin for how he felt she’d do if she were ever on the hit television game show Jeopardy!.

In a delicious example of instant karma, the self-proclaimed brainiac got his chance to show America how smart he was in a special “Power Players” version of the show Monday, but came up quite short finishing dead last with the paltry sum of only $2,300 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

No More ‘Top Gear’ Until 2013 (UPDATED!)(0)

Hide the children. Darken the windows. Get out your all-black clothing. Jeremy Clarkson told a South African radio program that British motoring revue Top Gear will not return until 2013. We think this might be because of the London Olympics. Remember that this summer when you’re watching Synchronized Swimming.

Specifically, while talking about the Top Gear Live road show Clarkson says it’s the only time the three hosts will be together the rest of this year.

“It is going to be, it better be absolutely fantastic, it’s also about the only time the three of us are working together this year because there’s no Top Gear on this year.”

We think this means we’ll have to wait until 2013 for the 19th season to start. We’ve reached out to the BBC for a comment.

UPDATE: Jeremy Clarkson Confirms No Top GearUntil 2013, Blames ‘Fat People Singing’

Jeremy Clarkson just confirmed our report about there being no more Top Gear until 2013 is true, although the reason is not the Olympics. It’s Simon Cowell.

Yesterday, we reported that the Jezza let slip on a South African radio show that they weren’t going to be showing any Top Gear in the fall, meaning we’d have to wait until January to get our fix.

People threatened to jump off things. Others tried to find some way to deny it. Denial was strong with fans of the British motoring show, but in typical Clarkson fashion he took to his very real Twitter account to say “it’s true.”

The “fat people singing” is probably a cruel reference to Susan Boyle and Cowell’s show Britain’s Got Talent. Or one of the like 60 other shows Cowell produces.

Oh Jezza, never change.

Hulk Hogan Really Wants Those Dirty Pictures to Magically Disappear from the Internet(0)

Earlier this week, photographs from Hulk Hogan‘s sex tape were released on the Internet. It took a few days to hear anything from the Hogan camp, but it turns out he really does not like being made a fool of, as TMZ reported that Hogan’s attorney is threatening legal action.

Question on Everybody’s Mind: Is Hogan going to get what he wants?

Our Take: It is not impossible for Hogan’s legal team to threaten action to get the photos taken down, but more often than not, when something is on the Internet it is incredibly hard to get it off.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Reasons To Hulk Up

As mentioned earlier this week, it is amazing to think that this whole thing happened to Hogan given how in control of every possible situation he has to be. I don’t know what else to say about it, but I think things are far from over.

Sad, Superficial and Desperate Heidi Montag is Still Hanging onto “Fame” with a New Album Featuring Tracks from Her Old AlbumComments Off

My Two Cents: She’s like a plastic sex doll with just as much talent and brains. Good for her for adding a few extra seconds to her fifteen minutes. I ain’t gonna lie though, I’d hit it fore sure. End Two Cents.

Inflatable doll look-alike and former reality star Heidi Montag somehow weaseled her way back into the news with the release of a new album, “Dreams Come True.”

Looking as desperate as ever on the cover, “Dreams Come True” is Montag’s sophomore effort and a follow-up to 2010′s “Superficial,” which sold fewer than 1,000 copies in the first week.

The EP contains just four songs, all of which have been released before.

In much the same way as her body is surgically enhanced, “Your Love Found Me,” “Party Is Wherever I Am,” “No More” and “Overdosin” are all computer enhanced and autotuned versions of Montag’s voice. It has been so heavily altered that it is barely recognizable as a human voice — just as Montag’s 10 plastic surgeries left her barely recognizable as a human.

The good news for Montag: “Dreams Come True” currently has a three and a half star rating on iTunes out of 51 user reviews, so we know that 51 people have either purchased or at least listened to Montag’s album since it was released on April 11.

Top Gear Reviews the Ford FiestaComments Off

My Two Cents: This is from an older episode of ‘Top Gear’ but it is a great entertaining review. End Two Cents.

Offended by a fan having written in to complain that Top Gear don’t do proper car review anymore, Jeremy Clarkson takes the new Ford Fiesta on a ‘serious’ road test. Cue a car chase through a shopping centre and a Royal Marine beach assault! ‘Angry Birds’ to Become an Animated TV Series This FallComments Off

You know that frustrating game where you have to shoot birds into bricks and try to knock them down? Well, Angry Birds is about to become an animated TV show, the New York Post reported.

Hold on to your feathers because it’s coming soon.

“We’re going to roll out a weekly animation series later this year of shortform content,” an executive at Rovio, the company that makes the addicting game, said over the weekend.

Nick Dorra, Rovio’s head of animation, said that there will be 52 episodes lasting a mere two in a half to three minutes each.

“We’re looking at building a video app for that, and we’re also looking at partnerships and so on,” Dorra said, “We want to be on all screens.

He added that “Angry Birds” is not just about sling-shotting birds into the air – oh? – but, instead, Rovio want’s to make it more about the characters.

We guess it’s time to give up on level seventy-five and start watching this new TV series this fall.

Destroying Plasma TV With Microwave TransformerComments Off

This is a video of a guy destroying a broken plasma screen by attaching a microwave transformer to the thing to overpower it. Did I mention brobro also provides some colorful commentary? Because he does that too. It takes a little while to get going though, so skip to around 1:30 for the real show to begin. Then skip around for a bit, because after that it’s about 13-minutes of the same. I just can’t in good conscious let you watch the whole thing. Because I care. “You tried to get me to cross the street with traffic coming!” I want you dead.

Hit the jump for the worthwhile arcing and sparking action, as well as another video of a different TV that goes faster, albeit less spectacular.
